Not really, but I feel like it sometimes! God is doing great things among us. The momentum, the movement of God among our people, the decisions for Christ – it’s all incredible.
As a staff, we sense that this fall could be something of Ephesians 3:20 proportions… “to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…”
We are less than 60 days away from what I think could be THE most significant day yet in the life of Sugar Hill Church, August 16th.
I’m taking a few weeks off and when I come back, we are going to re-set the culture of our church. I’ll begin a series on July 26th called VIBE: authentic Jesus. Authentic Worship, Authentic Community and Authentic Service. Then on Aug 16th we launch our process of discipleship around 3 words: Love, Grow, Serve.
Plan NOW to attend August 16th and bring somebody with you who is disconnected from God and church. It could be the ONE DAY that changes everything for eternity.
Now that I’ve somewhat let the cat out of the bag (I really don’t like cats – but that’s another post) – let me say: we have a BULLS EYE on our backs. This is spiritual warfare. When you get past all the coolness, excitement and fun – its warfare!
Satan doesn’t like anything that is happening here. We’ve seen almost 140 people began a relationship with Christ so far this summer. We’ve had 2 men answer God’s call to ministry and missions. And we haven’t even gotten to July yet…
Make no mistake, the enemy wants to take you down or take me down or both. And if he can’t do that – then he’ll try to distract us or divide us. We need to pray for each other. Yes, we still have our challenges of financial provisions, staff provisions, and leadership opportunities at every level.

I’ll share more details with those who commit to joining me in prayer. I’m asking for a prayer team to join me now through August 30th for this specific season. I believe it is a critical point in our journey.
